Jerry's Seafood: Premier Seafood Dining Experience in Bowie, MD

We stopped at Jerry’s on a Saturday around 2pm and were sat immediately but it seemed like good timing as the place filled up quickly. The service was awesome, and the food that followed was even better! The rolls they serve to start the meal are kinda unique, and fun to pull apart. The kids also enjoyed the butter balls. We tried the crab bomb firecracker style, the crab cake sandwich, kids fried shrimp with fries and apple sauce and the house salad with feta vinegar and house dressings. The crab bomb is their claim to fame- and it was basically a large crab cake, seasoned with pepper and dry mustard. It was very good, but could have used some extra garnishes, maybe pickled onions or something similar to enhance the experience and a side of butter and/ or lemon. The crab cake sandwich was a little plain, again, lacking lettuce tomato and mayo, something you would expect on a crab cake sandwich. The kids fried shrimp was large and lightly fried, delicious! The fries that went with the meal were wedge style fries and a tasty addition. The salads were romaine style, pretty typical house salad- but the dressings were a real standout. Highly recommend the feta vinegar and house dressings. The restaurant itself is very cool, large televisions, cool artwork, a nice bar area, and enough room to accommodate any size party. But I did rank it a four star because it was so cold! We had to run out and get our hoodies. All in all, I would definitely come back and try some more menu items- especially the crab soup and crab dip.

Jerry’s CrabHouse has amazing seafood. The Crab soup was amazing. The crabcakes are to die for. Everything came out so fast, fresh, and tasted amazing. The staff were all so nice and attentive to our needs. Especially Julian, he was so great. He provided us with great customer service. He was very kind the minute we sat down, and checked up on us very frequently.

Jerry’s located in Bowie was my favorite seafood restaurant in the DMV. I normally dined in at the restaurant. I always got the entree every time I ate there. I would normally eat at a table or at the bar on the bar side of the restaurant which was typically the more casual side. The other side of the restaurant was large and was more for a formal dine in experience. My go to there was the crab bomb entree and it never disappointed me. I had never had lump cramp meat like that before. It normally came with some sort of creamy house made sauce. The outer portion of the crab bomb was lightly breaded. I believe they baked not fried this lump crab meat. I believe it’s with the infamous delicious Maryland blue crab. Nothing imitation about it at all. Period. It had just the right amount of seasoning and marination giving it flavor. I normally had two or three sides with the crab bomb entree. The sides were always good as well. They would also provide complimentary bread with the entree which tasted good too. They would always give me bottomless sweet tea whenever I did happen to order sweet tea of lemonade. The servers and waiters were always customer friendly. I’m looking forward to eating here again the next time I am in the area. I had only been to the location in Bowie since it was the closest to me. My old hairstylist in Maryland bragged about how good the food was at Jerry’s and I decided to try and it didn’t disappoint. It’s a huge restaurant offering a plentiful amount tables and seating arrangements for its guests. There’s definitely enough space to accommodate really large groups/parties/events. I had the pleasure of eating the infamous Crab Bomb circa 2016 and I never forgot how great it was. While in the area I detoured over to have it again and it didn’t disappoint! The creamy crab soup is decadent and very heavy, but delicious. I also had the opportunity to try some of the crab dip, and it was tremendously comforting.

Nice place for fresh seafood! I went for lunch on a Wednesday afternoon and it was very crowded! Everybody's dishes looked magnificent! My food came out super quick and was worth every penny!

I’ve visited Jerry’s Seafood numerous times, and the Crab Bomb continues to deliver. It’s consistently well prepared, generously portioned, and packed with quality crab meat. It remains the standout item and the primary reason to return. The restaurant has a casual, lively atmosphere that accommodates both family gatherings and group outings. Service has generally been efficient, especially considering how popular the location can be. While the Crab Bomb is consistently strong, some of the other menu items can vary in comparison. That said, when it comes to their signature dish, they execute it very well. Overall, Jerry’s remains a dependable destination for quality crab dishes and a Maryland classic experience.

As a DMV foodie, I’ve been to Jerry's Seafood multiple times and it never disappoints. Home of the legendary Crab Bomb, this spot is a seafood lover’s dream. This time we ordered the Baby Crab Bomb and it was 10/10. Packed with jumbo lump crab meat and seasoned perfectly. If you love crab, this is a must order. We also had the crab dip topped with jumbo lump crab meat, and it was incredible. Rich, creamy, and loaded with real crab. The cream of crab soup and the half & half soup were both excellent. We even added extra jumbo lump crab on top. Funny story — we accidentally left both soups in the to-go containers before leaving and we were sick about it because they were that good. One of the kids ordered the chicken tenders and it came out looking like a full grown man’s plate — about nine tenders. Their seasoned wedges are amazing and the honey mustard might be some of the best anywhere. My wife ordered the Fisherman’s Platter which comes with cod, a fried crab cake, steamed shrimp, and beer battered shrimp. Everything was cooked perfectly. We usually swap the oysters out for extra shrimp. I also ordered the jumbo fried shrimp, and these were some of the biggest fried shrimp I’ve had at any restaurant. Even the house salad was good and their homemade blue cheese dressing is everything. Don’t leave without getting the half & half (sweet tea + lemonade) — 10/10. ⭐ Overall rating: 10/10 If you’ve never been to Jerry’s Seafood, run there ASAP.
